A week in review! This week will be a week of review and reteaching. There were several skills we did not have enough time to cover thoroughly and need more time and energy. We will be reviewing the Common Core Standards we have studied in this unit and revisit ideas that are key to success in ELA. We will continue to read the novel Harris and Me by Gary Paulsen. Remember that there will be another vocabulary test on the second list of words. Due to the field trip on Thursday and no school on Friday we will have that test on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. Copper Falls here we come!!! Our Fall Color Trip is set for this week! Things to remember: Students' responsibilities to participation in this PBIS activity: *no failing grades *no suspensions *no repeat office referrals Supplies/Equipment needed: * lunch (bag lunch can be provided from school) * rain coats/warm clothing/comfortable shoes/extra socks (in case of wet feet) * water bottle We will be hiking around the park and having a picnic lunch at the main area. The students will have a lot of photo opportunities as we explore this beautiful state park. If there are question, call the school office or email me at [email protected]. This has always been a great way to get geared up for the winter months. The 6th grade class has been working hard and following the rules to earn the right to enjoy this local state park.
